GCF Certification Concept GCF is the abbreviation of Global Certification Forum, the Chinese translation is Global Certification Forum, which is an international organization. Its members consist of 142 operators, 33 terminal manufacturers, test houses and test equipment suppliers. The GCF organization has coordinated mobile phone test standards, defined a test system to ensure that mobile phones meet network deployment, and all member operators have agreed to this test system. In other words, GCF approval means that all member operators have approved the phone, and no additional testing will be required in the future. At the same time, GCF also recognizes test cases and test systems. The purpose of GCF is to ensure the global interoperability of terminals through an independent certification process, namely: "Tested Once, Accepted by All". GCF plays a very important role in 3G's sex test. This is because 3GPP only formulates relevant test specifications and organizes the compilation of unified test cases, but does not stipulate when, how, and what the test compliance standards should be. And GCF has undertaken this part of the work. GCF sets a series of milestones for testing, formulates test cases, plans the process of platform certification and the process of terminal product certification registration. However, GCF does not engage in any testing, but leaves it to a third-party testing organization (such as Huasheng Testing) for testing. GCF GSM/UTRA working group, application development working group, field test working group and Ad-Hoc working group hold meetings every three months to approve the test results, test cases and test systems will be approved at the same time. When the test cases and test systems in the industry reach the various milestones of the GCF, the industry's performance testing of terminal equipment really begins. GCF recognition means that all GCF operator members are recognized. GCF requirements for WCDMA terminal certification testing To conduct WCDMA terminal certification testing, the terminal manufacturer must first clarify what functions and features the terminal supports to form an option list, and then on the basis of the 3GPP core standards, the option list determines what GCF should be selected CC test standards, purposes and methods, and form a test requirement table. At the same time, according to the option table and 3GPP test standards, the laboratory will formulate a performance evaluation table to reflect the degree of compatibility between the terminal and the corresponding test standards; of course, the focus of the evaluation is the corresponding test methods and test purposes.
